Description: SALES MANAGER‘Infosecurity Europe’(based in Richmond, Surrey)Here’s a great opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager who is ready for a new and challenging role within the IT sector working within the dynamic business technology division.Infosecurity Europe is now in its 13th successive year & is the flagship event of the international Infosecurity branded portfolio (one of a series of 9 around the World) and is the UK’s and Europe’s No. 1 information security event.We are looking for a highly motivated, intelligent, enthusiastic Sales Manager with extensive sales management experience looking for their next challenging role, confident managing a large and highly successful event and responsibility for managing a new sales manager and an executive.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and retaining existing accounts, for new business development, maximising sponsorship sales and continuing to develop the show to maximise revenues.This is definitely an excellent opportunity for a responsible, motivated, bright, enthusiastic, efficient and organised self-starter who is hungry to grow and ready for a challenging role on an already successful event!This position reports to the Exhibition Director.The job: - This position will involve the following main responsibilities:·To quickly develop an understanding of the information security markets, its vendors and needs.·To build long-term profitable relationships with customers and be seen as part of the industry.·The ability to sell to senior level prospects and customers with a particular emphasis on face-to-face meetings and presentations.·The ability to balance the need for face-to-face and telephone selling to achieve new business and increase revenues from existing customers.·To manage and develop non-show revenue and visitor-generating initiatives, including web and on-line activities, in partnership with customers. ·To present professionally the entire Infosecurity portfolio to new and existing exhibitors.·To have understanding and awareness of other closely linked events in the Business and Technology portfolio.·Total sales responsibility for all sectors of the event including sales planning, campaign management, forecasting, and achieving the sales target.·To manage, develop, mentor and empower the Infosecurity sales team.·To actively seek out and follow through on new prospects from all relevant sources (trade journals, competitive events etc) and actively source and develop new business areas relevant to the event.·To accurately and efficiently manage the sales tracker, VAS tracker and floorplan·To manage and cultivate the Infosecurity database·To manage the entire sales promotion campaign ensuring targeted, timely and appropriate communications are sent out to the prospect/exhibitor base. Full management of campaigns and tracking of sales plan effectiveness·To work closely with the Marketing team and Exhibition Director to develop targeted exhibitor and visitor promotional campaigns according the sales plan·To work with the international Infosecurity teams; develop inter-team relationships and assist all teams where required.·To manage the Infosecurity global exhibitor list, website and all related communications to this key group of vendors.·To have a creative approach with a keen eye on revenue generation from show related and non-show related activities!·To use market knowledge to input into the overall strategic direction of the show.·Develop long-term relationships with key press such as our sister publications Infosecurity/Computer Weekly/MicroScopeThe candidate:·This position requires an exceptionally well-motivated sales professional who can demonstrate:·Extensive sales experience preferably in the exhibitions industry.·Extensive successful face-to-face sales experience·Relevant and successful man-management experience – prepared to lead by example·Experience in consultative selling, maximising revenue from existing customers demonstrating innovation and creativity in ideas·Excellent new business and key account management sales skills·Sales planning, forecasting, reporting and Sales writing skills·Customer service stills and communication skills·Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills·Knowledge of the IT or related sectors would be an advantage but not essential.The candidate should be a self-motivated individual
