We have a highly challenging but satisfying role on offer in the RTE Meetings Industry team.We are looking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Account Manager to work on the Hosted Buyer Programme for EIBTM in Barcelona for five months.This client facing position requires a hard working, tenacious and dedicated team player with excellent telephone and written communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a high volume environment.The position reports to the Manager, Hosted Buyer Programmes.The job: Primarily responsible for a number of accounts, the role is to manage and develop group co-ordinator and buyer relationships with a view to improving the quality and quantity of qualified buyers attending the Hosted Buyer Programme.Additional responsibilities for other aspects of the Hosted Buyer Programme may also be given.·Extensive liaison with hotel chains, agencies, and magazines to assist them in recruiting hosted buyers, ensuring the qualification criteria are met, and finalising schedules.·Using the database (EventsPro) to monitor registrations, qualification, pre-scheduled appointments, and group co-ordinator information and to provide reports and analyses.·Liaising with our travel partner on flights whilst maintaining strict budget control.·Regular communication with group co-ordinators and hosted buyers on the telephone, via e-mail and at face-to-face meetings where required.·Provision of excellent customer service using a pro-active and creative approach to problem solving travel issues and dealing with a high volume of queries. ·Liaison with sales and marketing regarding key accounts and their management.·Contributing to the achievement of individual and group targets.·Increasing the number of hosted buyers through business development of accounts.·Travel to Barcelona for the event.The candidate:·Extensive experience in a busy travel or event management environment·Excellent interpersonal, written and face-to-face meeting skills·Ability to work calmly under pressure·Excellent database/IT skills, especially Excel·Enthusiastic team player·Strong time management, multi-tasking and organisational skills·Creativity – developing and proposing solutions to queries·Fluency in one or more foreign languages would be advantageous·A flexible approach to working methods and hours of attendance·Willingness to travel
