The Position: To effectively manage the engineering department in maintenance activities.Establishment of the engineering planning and work monitoring procedure, with continual assessment of the planned preventative maintenance scheme, together with sound working practices, which will ensure a safe working environment for employees, yet achieve maximum performance and efficiency from the assets of the company.Developing and co-ordinating engineering activities and strategies within production and other departments as is necessary to ensure that the objectives of the Department are achieved in a cost effective manner.The Candidate: The applicant will have had previous experience in a managerial role within a maintenance team and have a sound knowledge of engineering as an industry. Experienced in developing planned maintenance schedules and work planning, demonstrating proven achievements in reducing downtime and enhancing performance in a fast moving environment, with the ability to react positively as areas of concern affect the performance of the factory.The individual should preferably be qualified to degree level in engineering or HND/HNC Engineering qualification and will also be an effective communicator, able to provide detail in written and verbal reports.0805-30
