Description: DescriptionCCL (www.cclglobal.com) has been requested by a major EPC contractor to provide a GNSS Field Technician to form part of the engineering team responsible for the maintenance of GNSS equipment and provision of technical support to end-users. A staff role. Salary / benefits will be flexible. Must be willing to undertake vessel mobilisations and maintenance visits mainly in UK and Europe but this may involve worldwide travel. Client prefers candidates who live in the Aberdeen area or within easy travelling distance.QualificationsIdeal candidate will have an HNC in Electronics or equivalent. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software. Ability to prioritise and manage own workload. Excellent interpersonal / communication skills including fluent written and spoken English are essential as part of role is to produce reports, QA procedures, manuals and other related documentation relating to operation and support of DGPS services. Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.ExperienceMust have working knowledge of industry standards, specifications and guidelines, and have demonstrable operational experience in the maintenance of DGPS equipment. Responsible to the Operations Manager to ensure that all work complies with HSE policies and secures the health and safety of those involved, and minimises environmental impact. Role will provide the following functions: repair and maintenance of GNSS equipment; customer support; test and repair of GNSS mobile and stationary equipment under the supervision of the Equipment Coordinator; provide technical assistance both for hardware and software to Operations / Project Managers / internal and external customers; undertake mobile installations; test and report on new services and equipment.
