Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced head of purchasing at a leading manufacturing business based in Sidcup, Kent. Working in the field of innovative FMCG products for the consumer market your role will be to manage & take responsibility for the buying of a large range of items on short lead times in a modern manufacturing environment. You will also be responsible for six supply chain staff and will need previous experience in developing & leading a purchasing team, setting KPI's and ensuring that staff are organised, methodical and are equipped to meet their targets. Previous experience in fast paced FMCG or light manufacturing sector would be an advantage. You will need to be a strong negotiator and have the ability to develop strong business relationships with vendors.
