Description: Sub-Contract Buyer/Tender Buyer/Quality Estimator/Tendering Purchaser Leading design and build construction firm with offices nationwide currently require a Tender Buyer to join their team in the Yorkshire/Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire region. >Tender Buyer <<br /> SALARY: £27,000 - £33,000 + fully expensed company vehicle/allowance + pension + private healthcare + other company benefits POSSIBLE LOCATION OF CANDIDATES: Mansfield, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Alfreton, Sutton in Ashfield, Staveley. **************** THE ROLE: Fulfilling this unique and important role, the successful candidate will be looking after the risk assessment, valuation and purchasing of sub-contract tenders. You will determine whether or not the tender proposed is too high or low and be an integral part of the customer facing team. Your duties and responsibilities will include presenting the negatives and positives of each tender to the Senior Management team, therefore having superb channels of communication to key decision makers within the company. Being involved in sub-contract tenders on labour, plant equipment, materials and maintenance services, your role is a demanding but extremely gratifying. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with experience of sub-contract tenders and purchasing to join a market leading nationwide construction company. Clear progression paths are available for the chosen candidate. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: > Qualified to a minimum HNC, ideally degree level. > You will hold experience of tender and sub-contract buying. > Knowledge of the Conquest estimation software beneficial. > Full Driving License > It is essential that you have been involved in both refurbishment and also design and build projects, ideally with values over £1m. > Very strong customer facing and presentation skills critical.
