A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified strategic HR Manager position in Preston Lancashire. The role is to advise on HR strategies and polices for the region of Preston, Wigan, Crewe, Manchester, Birmingham and York. Applicants must be a post graduate Dip in HR Management or equivalent and a full member or fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. A background in transport would be advantageous. Role to include- Formulation of cost saving HR initiatives- Interpretation of HR planning data to indentify and analyse potential shortfalls in skills/competences- Ensuring internal and external recruitment processes hit company standards- Managing change to maximise organisational effectiveness- Ensuring company HR policies relating to conditions of employment are implemented consistently and core values upheld to highest standard- Co-ordinating company involvement and communication processes to development climate- Implementing and advising company’s reward management and remuneration policies to attract, retain and motivate- Development of an environment where employees have personal and occupational needs met and supported by the company- Working with HR managers to provide comprehensive Employee Relations Service- Strongly focused on researching, developing and implementing best practice- Organising workloads of teams, balancing priorities and scheduling resourcesSalary is £40K-£48K plus £5K car allowance, 25 days holiday plus 12 bank holidays and pensionFor more information and a full job description please call the Leeds office
