Description: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced business travel consultant working for a large successful travel company based in Stockport centre. The role will involves dealing with corporate travel, including airline travel. The duties ? Liaise with customers, advise and act as appropriate on all travel related queries and reservations, in accordance with the company standards. ? Liaise with suppliers on the customer's behalf, checking availability, negotiating suitable rates and advising of special requirements. ? Advise customers on all travel related queries on the website, if necessary, make or complete the customers' reservations on the website. ? Arrange for accurate itineraries to be compiled and issued. ? Ensure correct and timely issuing of tickets to comply with IATA regulations. ? Ensure all changed or cancelled travel arrangements are re-issued, cancelled and refunded as per the company policy. ? Ensure filing, whether paper or computer generated, is completed as per the departmental procedures. ? Ensure that all enquiries are replied to as per Customer Service Standards. ? Answer calls via the switchboard when they have overspilled into the Travel group, in accordance with the company standard. ? Provide written and verbal feedback regarding services with which the client may be pleased or dissatisfied. ? Work with clients to meet travel needs. Help develop client travel plans where relevant and offer all possible alternatives according to policy. Anticipate requirements where a problem can be foreseen, e.g. trade fair bookings and conference dates. The ideal candidate will have experience of business travel, working knowledge of a primary GDS/CRS and good knowledge of arranging air flights.
