Description: Chemistry Technician x 3Salary: £19k to £25k Home CountiesRef: MIB1003380My client requires a number of technicians, each in slightly differing roles; 1 x full time on shift, 1 x full-time (temporary maternity cover)and 1 x full time. The successful candidates are to join a team primarily concerned with the analysis of intermediate, final product, stability and developmental biological pharmaceutical products, incoming raw materials (chemical/components) and utility samples (WFI water samples). A variety of manual and automated techniques are employed including various forms of spectrophotometry (UV, Vis, AA), chromatography (HPLC, FPLC, GC) and methods such as Karl Fischer moisture determinations and protein determinations. The individuals appointed will be expected to participate in the application of some of these analysis techniques, together with support activities including sample collection, reagent preparation and equipment calibration.Candidates must possess a relevant degree. Full training will be provided although proven practical laboratory skills will be considered an advantage, together with an understanding of the principles involved in Good Laboratory Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice. Other required skills are good communication, written and spoken, organisational and time management skills, report writing and problem solving skills and a positive approach to teamwork in a busy operating environment.
