Description: A Senior EIA Ecologist is urgently required to join this multidisciplinary consultancy based in Peterborough. Ideal candidates for the role will hold considerable ecology and EIA experience, preferably in a consultancy framework. It is anticipated that you will hold a MSc / BSc in a relevant discipline, Protected species licences and professional membership of an appropriate body. A Full clean driving licence is essential. Duties of the role include: - Undertaking ecological field surveys - Report writing - Preparing ecological chapters for EIAs - Liaising with clients - Bid preparation, business development - Large scale project management Typical Projects As a senior EIA ecologist you will provide leadership and management to the existing ecology/ EIA team based in Peterborough. You will use your ecological skills to complete ecological field surveys and report writing, for example, phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species surveys and mitigation. Also you will also be involved in EIAs, preparing relevant ecological chapters and managing large scale EIA projects, largely in connection with development projects. You will manage and mentor your team of staff, and liaise effectively with clients to ensure the continued success of the business. Identifying new business opportunities you will seek to develop the business stream across your region. You will be able to provide specialist advice and skills and provide support to other teams further afield from time to time.
