Description: Our client is active in bringing Scotland to the forefront of international markets in digital media and communications technologies. By exploiting new intellectual assets, the company will drive sustainable growth in existing companies and new start-ups. They have a vacancy for a Technology Analyst to develop, assess and define programme opportunities in these sectors, co-ordinating input from other areas such as patent analysis and market research. You will contribute to the selection of new foresighting themes, analyse new technologies and manage feasibility studies to assess viability of technologies across areas as diverse as software engineering, biosensors, LCD displays, brand protection security and digital imaging. To be considered for the role, you should have an excellent first degree or PhD, or equivalent technical competency, in a relevant discipline such as electronic engineering or computer science, together with a proven track record in a relevant role. You will demonstrate good analytical abilities and the ability to understand the essential features of a broad range of technologies. Experience of technical project management is also required. The role is challenging and demands excellent communication and reportwriting skills, diplomacy and a collaborative approach. Entitlement to work in the UK is essential.
