Description: McGinnis Loy Finance are proud to be working with a rapidly growing and entrepreneurial US$6billion Financial Services business, who are now seeking to fill a new role for an Investment / Fund Accountant. With 10+ offices worldwide, and over 200 employees, you will be working within their UK Corporate office and reporting to the Investment & Accounting Manager.Key duties include :Handling the daily accounting for specific funds including reconciliations, reviewing the balance sheet and net asset value validationProviding monthly net asset value and daily/monthly valuations of a wide range of instruments across global marketsUnderstanding specific pricing requirements for valuationsEnsuring all internal control standards are adhered to as per company guidelinesException reporting and balance sheet reconciliationsAssisting with implementing work process improvements and efficienciesAd-hoc requests from the tax and audit departments, and liaising with Traders worldwideTo be considered for the role, you should ideally be a part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA accountant or CFA, preferably degree educated in business / finance or a related field, and possess strong organisational and IT skills. Ideally you will have experience within financial services, however those with a genuine interest in hedge funds or portfolio management are encouraged to apply. Critically, you should have the ability to work well within a highly charged team, be able to work under challenging and pressurised environments, and demonstrate high degrees of initiative, innovation and resourcefulness.
