Description: My client is a medium size Main Contractor based in Crawley, West Sussex. They are currently looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to work on a wide variety of construction projects primarily new build and refurb with a small amount of design and build work. Projects are mainly public sector including schools, hospitals and libraries, however my client is also undertaking a number of exciting retail and mixed commercial developmentsResponsibilities: The successful candidate will need to be able to do a range of Quantity Surveying duties including being able to price jobs, do valuations, deal with sub contractors, handle sub contractor packages and cost reconciliations. Most of my clients business comes from repeat business so you must be able to manage clients as well as helping start new relationships.Other responsibilities include:• Able to demonstrate an ability to understand the whole process of a project, from inception to completion.• Providing cost value reports • Preparing interim certificates • Monitoring contract costs • Variations • Preparing records of archiving • Reporting • Monthly Cost and Value reconciliation; Forecasting and cost to complete • Contract administration • Check plant charges and allocate costs • Liaising with Sub Contractors • Other general surveying dutiesRequirements: • Ideally 5+ years Quantity Surveying experience (Majority in the UK)• Main Contractor or Sub Contractor background• Construction project experience with new build and refurb project experienceFor more jobs in Quantity Surveying or more jobs in Construction please visit us at:www pbrgroup co uk
