Description: Device Modelling Engineer - A world leader in the design and manufacture of a broad range of customised RF, microwave and millimetre wave components and subsystems has an exciting opportunity as a Device Modelling Engineer.Summary Of Responsibilities: Provision of equivalent circuit device models for inclusion in process design kits · Development of new modelling techniques and capability · Perform and direct associated RF characterisation & lead the development of new RF test capability · Provide support to device development teams & Process Design Kit (PDK) activities Main Tasks: Development of small and large-signal compact models of MMIC components suitable for inclusion in foundry PDKs. · Development of new and improved modelling techniques · Provide expertise and leadership to the development RF test activity to ensure the provision of high quality RF data Experience Required: RF or microwave engineering · AC circuit theory · Computer programming experience · DC and microwave characterization of devices & circuits · Self-motivated · Ability to work in a team. · Good communication & documentation skills The following would be desirable:· Microwave Office or ADS MMIC design software skills · Experienced in C++, Labview or HPVee · Familiar with the use of Vector Network Analysers · Familiarity with III-V semiconductors · Experience of FET or HBT device modelling Academic Requirements:At least BEng, BSc in Electronic Engineering, Physics or related subject
