Description: Engineering Team Leader -  required to ensure that a product is designed to specification, cost, schedule and is suitable for manufacture. To develop and manage assigned engineers and technicians. Main responsibilities for this role will be: Carry out Staff Appraisals. * Ensure that the standard and content of log books are up to date and in accordance with the Engineering Handbook. (all engineering design log books whether individual ones or product ones) * To achieve project timescales and report on risks, both technical and project. * Material Cost for the BOM needs to be monitored regularly and updated. * Development jobs to be raised for each phase of a project, and costs for each phase to be rolled up at each Tollgate, checked and written off where applicable. * Hold regular meetings with the team of Engineers to review technical actions in order to implement and review action plans. * Ensure Tollgate Reports are written to the required standard and are progressed and updated throughout the project. Ensure that relevant documentation exists under each tollgate. * To meet departmental objectives and ensure that information prepared by the team is consistent with company Design Office procedures. * Ensure the design of teams and performance meets the system & manufacturability requirements and includes a tolerance analysis. * Using software packages (e.g. MWO) to design and update different parts of the design and to do a tolerance analysis on the design. * Ensure that Manufacturing packs are generated to the required standard and accuracy. * Prepare technical updates and design reviews for customers. * Ensuring accuracy and detail of information on syteline, BOMs, CARs, Product Permits and Reject Notes. The successful candidate will have a honors degree in an electrical engineering /electronics related subject, and will be able to satisfy the following requirements: Proven solid experience in RF/Microwave design/development environment. * Experience of managing, motivating and directing a small team of Engineers. * Experience of System and Statistical Analysis. * Experienced using CAD Tools (e.g. MWO, EESOF, ADS etc). * Technical Report writing skills. * Managing project timescales and costs. * Excellent communication skills
