Description: Contract Manager – Railway Parking, LondonThe Role:This position entails managing a team responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of a portfolio of railway car parks in London.Our client is one of the country’s leading commercial car parking companies and they have a long-term contract to operate these car parks on behalf of the owners.This is a high profile position and we are looking for a manager with solid experience of contract delivery and management.Your responsibilities will include:·Leading, training, developing and managing a team of professionals providing car parking services to the client;·Managing and consistently delivering on a demanding set of KPIs.Very high standards of customer service are required from this operation;·Delivering the services profitably and within your budget;·Liaising with the client’s management team.You will make regular presentations to these clients who demand high standards from these contracts;·Reporting to the Operations Manager, your input will have a direct and measurable impact on the profitability of the region;The Person:Candidates for this position must have experience of contract management, ideally gained in the context of public sector service contracts.Equally importantly, you should be an inspirational leader and experienced people manager.To be successful you will also need:·A high degree of personal self discipline and integrity, allied with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently when necessary; ·You should be able to demonstrate success in leading and managing a team in a customer facing business.You will be well organised and financially literate with good all round financial skills including familiarity with managing a profit & loss account and experience of working to a demanding set of KPIs which form part of a service level agreement;·Experience of managing client relationships is important as are good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.·Excellent all round communication skills with the ability to deliver written and verbal presentations clearly and concisely.If you would like to understand more about this role please contact Nick Benson in confidence at the Ortolan Group Plc.
