Description: Our client requires an experienced Buyer within their Finance Function, to join their team asap for approximately 3 months.Pay rate £14.70 per hour, working a 37 hour week.Job Role:To provide a buying service to the company and its budget holders. To include product sourcing, negotiating of terms i.e. price, delivery and contractual terms for the supply of a wide variety goods and services. Ensure that value for money is achieved in all transactions while maintaining personal ethical standards.Ensure that goods and services are delivered within agreed timescales that meet to the overall targets of the University.Regular DutiesInspect Purchase Requisitions allocated for order processing by the Purchasing Supervisor to ensure they meet company guidelines and regulations. Advise where alternatives may be more suitable or alternative costing obtained. Support to be given as necessary.On those requisitions allocated for action by the postholder check user requirements, source of supply, price and delivery and where beneficial offer users alternatives that better match value for money criteria. Complete and submit order for final authorisation / signature by Purchasing Manager or Head of Contract Services. Ensure that all transactions are undertaken within the Financial regulationsObtain pricing and quotations for budget holders including those required for research committee bids and course production materials.Maintain auditable records of transactions in an accessible format
