As Quality Engineer you will work within a team of 5, liasing closely with Programme & Production management, reporting directly to the plant Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager. The main objective of the role is to develop and improve the quality methods across the manufacturing and assembly cells. You will be required to promote the cultural awareness towards Quality, coaching and mentoring programme / technical managers in using best QA practice. You will be involved in analysing data and producing quality metrics which will be used to plan and launch new continuous improvement initiatives. It will be your responsibility to drive lean and six-sigma methodologies across the business units and ensure preventive actions are followed through to completion.
Ideally you will come from a Quality background as well as experience within a manufacturing environment. It is beneficial if you have a proven track record in Six Sigma tools as well as driving lean manufacturing techniques. The leadership team is keen to find someone who will fit in well within the companys ethos, so your attitude is just as important as having the right technical background.
