Description: STRATEGIC ECM CONSULTANT/STRATEGY CONSULTANT JOB PURPOSE Increase revenues by developing Enterprise ECM deals sales and strategic market opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES • Increase the size and quality of individual deals by working with customers at a business level to build strategic, cross-enterprise deployments rather than the more common departmental deployments. By quality is meant the durability of deployment and hence maintenance revenues • Assist and direct client IT managers with leadership to ensure strategic alignment of deployment with the business and to develop or assist with client business cases • Generate in-depth business-level understanding of client business and process aspirations, to support and promote strategic deployments • As appropriate, assist customers in pre-sales deployments to understand the potential value of ECM to their organisations and thereby broaden the client’s use of ECM portfolio components • Use customer learning to generate sector and process-based propositions in multiple sectors as foundation and support for Sales Territory Business Plans • Assist in the development of Partner propositions and plans • Represent the business at a senior level at conferences, events, partnering sales engagements etc. • Increase customer contacts and enhance seniority of contacts within accounts MEASURES – BASIS FOR VARIABLE COMPENSATION • Individual Sales “touched” by the role • Sector sales growth and revenue protection • Sector Sales or Sector Sales Growth • GS revenues arising? • Customer Satisfaction with projects executed? SKILLS REQUIRED • Senior Business Interviewing and Analysis skills to Board Director (CXO) level • Broad and deep understanding of ECM and interpretation of its applicability and benefits at a business level across multiple sectors • Market and business planning • Very strong presentation and communication skills to audiences of all sizes and compositions • Business case formulation and finance understanding • Strong facilitation skills to generate strategic deployment plans • Virtual team management of appropriate resources PERSONAL QUALITIES • Visible clarity of thought and logic in assessing business challengers • Apparent “Gravitas” in dealing with all parties • Visible confidence and calm under pressure with customers • Team player, willing to contribute and comply to quality business processes • Passion for the subject of information management in its many guises • Natural emphasis on business and business challenges • Strong current business awareness and “literacy” – well-informed and up-to-date on the broad business environment • Innovative and lateral thinker • Very open to ideas from other sources • Ability to rapidly assimilate new concepts (business and/or technology) and interpret their significance • Consistently well-presented EXPERIENCE • Broad business (process) experience or deep vertical experience • Strong exposure to senior management behaviours, drivers and responses • Reasonable level of exposure to financial business concepts • Exposure to a wide range of business and national cultures
