The Role:
You will be responsible for working closely with the commercial team, operations, suppliers and retail to ensure that the strategy of business is delivered to each sales channel within agreed targets. Within your product area this will incorporate Budget Management & control, Range Management, Open to buy Management, Planning including the forecasting of sales and stock levels (WSSI) & promotional Activity.
The Responsibilities:
Budgets: The merchandise manager in conjunction with the commercial manager will propose & agree budgets by month by product sub group for all the different sales.
Range plans: In conjunction with the commercial manager ensure that the product range consists of the right product, the right colour mix, the right retail price, the right "minimum order quantity"(MOQ)& the right profit margins to achieve the agreed strategy & budgets.
Range sign off: Responsible for the preparation and presenting of the key Drivers and range plans with detailed forecast by line to ensure the overall forecasts fits with the agreed budgets. In addition you will propose the initial order(quantity value)and phase the delivery of the buy accordingly to maximise stock turn & limit the effect on the warehouse.
