Description: 1.JOB PURPOSE & SCOPETo manage the Sales Direct telesales team of to grow the base of SME customers trading and to manage and develop existing accounts. Fully responsible for managing and motivating the team, setting targets and recruitment.2.ORGANISATION CHART To come. Reports to Head of Corporate Sales, 11 direct reports.3.MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIESManage a team of 8 Business Development Executives responsible for driving new sales, 2 Account Development Executives responsible for managing the base of existing customers and 1 Account Support Executive responsible for providing administrative support to the team.The Sales Direct Manager is fully responsible for the recruitment, appraisal and development of the team.4.JOB DIMENSIONSAnnual department revenue targets:*£1.5m new sales trading in each year*£5m in sales from existing accountsNumber of customers:*Approximately 5,000 active accounts and a further 3-5,000 new accounts sold each year5.PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES*Set clear and achievable targets for the team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis which will deliver the Plan revenue target for the department*Work with team members to help identify and prioritise leads*Ensure team members have regular contact with branches to feed back lead performance and encourage new leads*Coaching team members to deliver superior results through listening to calls and scripting advice*Monitoring and regulating the commission schemes for the team*Devising and running ad hoc competitions and 'excitement factors' to keep the team motivated and driven at all times*Reporting results and analysing performance levels in order to develop improvement strategies*Ownership of Business Solutions product set and interaction with Operations, Marketing, Finance & IT to drive continued development6.KEY RELATIONSHIPS*Regular contact and management of external customers up to Senior Manager and Board level to generate revenue*Regular contact with all functions within UK HQ and UK Operations to facilitate growth of revenue*Regular contact with BSC and BCC to ensure accounts are set up correctly and in a timely manner7.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE*Dedicated B2B Sales Team Manager, not a 'Field Sales Manager in waiting'*Proven track record in managing a B2B Telesales team to consistently deliver stretching revenue targets*Experience in developing telesales staff to perform and continuously improve*Experience in developing appropriate KPI metrics and managing a team to hit them consistently8.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES*Strong motivational skills and ability to drive results*Results driven, organised and trustworthy*Ability to coach effectively and strength of character to performance manage underperformers where necessary9.COMPETENCIES*Results driven*Resilient*Convincing*Team working*Customer focus*Problem solvingParkside Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.Parkside Recruitment is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
