Description: Interim Supply Chain Controller - Leading Retailer (Circa 6 month contract)The Company:Our client is a major high street retailer. The environment is fast paced, challenging and rewarding. Job Role: To manage the daily operations of the supply chain function to deliver excellent product choice and service to the business. To develop operational effectiveness and strategy to grow the business and implement supporting infrastructure. This role will be for circa a six month contract .Person Specification:Numerate and analytical, the ideal individual will be very process oriented, focusing on operational efficiency. You will be a credible, hands-on and influential manager who will coordinate key relationships across B&M, Marketing, IT and Supply.Key Accountabilities:1) People & Relationships:- Managing a team and will lead and co-ordinate supply to deliver operational efficiency - A good relationship builder, credible and influential to ensure disparate teams are working to same goal- Able to manage 3rd party relationships, who provide services to the business- Tenacious and confident - will demonstrate a can do attitude and vision 2) Commercial & Operational Efficiency:- Work with all business partners to seek continuous, improved commercial operations to exceed sales and profit targets- Plan, execute and review strategy into commercial trading operations - Improve customer experience through efficient reconciliation and processing of orders- Review opportunities to implement new services, suppliers and products- Develop & implement an optimum charging strategy for deliveries3) Planning & Organising:- Works closely with B&M to plan stock, including range size (skus and units) for warehouse space planning- Manages stock volumes and handling issues for current or proposed products- Delivers efficient PO process4) Stock Management:- Focused on stock movement to improve stock accuracy- Manages stock exceptions- Reviews stock reconciliations and investigates reasons or patterns for shortages- Manages stock take process - Manages write offs in WMS and RMS5) Customer Service:- Works closely with Customer Services to understand and resolve service issues- Manages risk of fraud and site security with business partners- Implements recommendations for grey / white lists - Explores service opportunities with 3rd parties to enhance customer experienceBehavioural Competencies: - Driving Results- Effective Relationship Management- Internal and External Customer Focus- Influencing and Persuading skills- Planning and Organising- Problem Solving and Decision Making- Leadership and co-ordination of disparate teams
