Technical Service and Development Representative/ Polymer Scientist/ Polymer Technical Engineer/ Polymer Technical Service Wilton, TeessideSalary £26,250 - £35,000 Plus BenefitsOur client is a global leader in methyl methacrylate (MMA) products, the main building block of acrylic, with manufacturing assets across the world.Employing around 700 people in the UK they are currently investing in major increases to global capacity.They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Service and Development Representative to join their Research, Technology and Engineering Group at their site in Wilton. The main purpose of this role is to provide technical service support to existing customers and develop new product development opportunities. You will be expected to undertake independent technical investigations, provide information and produce materials to support resolution of customer TS issues. The role will involve frequent customer contact and you must be willing to undertake regular visits across Europe when required, you should therefore be able to work independently and show tenacity in resolving problems.The successful candidate must have previous experience within a similar role along with a good working knowledge of Polymer analytical and experimental techniques. You should also have a good understanding of injection moulding and processing equipment. An excellent communicator at all levels you will have the ability to interact effectively with external customers and within the Polymer business, showing flexibility when facing challenging situations. The ability to speak a second major EU language would be desirable but not essential.
