Description: Our clients are world leaders in the design, development and delivery of underground transportation schemes both in the UK and overseas. This work includes all aspects of the mechanical and electrical infrastructure necessary for their successful operation. Due to the increase in the demand for these services a mechanical engineer (ventilation) is now required to join their team to carry out design and project management work. The design work covers all aspects of the ventilation of the public and non-public areas of road tunnels, rail tunnels and metro systems. The successful candidate will report to a Section Head and be based in our Croydon office. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that the technical designs undertaken are viable and that projects are delivered to time and budget. Some of this work will involve the use of sophisticated in-house software.The successful candidate will be expected to develop relationships with key clients and continue to effectively promote our client and the services they offer. This will expand into business development activities from time to time.The successful candidate will be expected to proactively develop the staff working for him/her to create and maintain an effective and harmonious team with an eye to future expansion. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop their capability with a view to undertaking roles of increasing responsibility.
