Description: Main tasks for this role will be:·Allocation of resources, both people and equipment to sustain production throughput and quality in order to meet customer demands. ·Communicate and report all pertinent information via the Production KPIs including Yield, Efficiency, Cost, Attrition, and Absence levels. ·Provide constructive instruction to ensure all shift members and cell leaders understand set objectives. ·Liase with other departments regarding material planning and customer returns. ·Analyse manufacturing yield and SPC information and implement improvement actions. ·Ensure that QA standards within the production area are adhered to, reviewed and improved. ·Ensure that the operating procedures are adhered to and reviewed. ·Take responsibility for upkeep and procurement of equipment for production area ·Contribute to recruitment process through the provision of up to date job specifications and interview support. ·Manage all absence, holiday, sickness and report accordingly. Including any disciplinary issues. ·Co-ordinate / manage relevant vendors whilst on-site to resolve any equipment issues which may arise. ·Ensure all Health & Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to and implement risk assessments throughout the area. ·Ensure that all production equipment within the area is calibrated. ·Ensure all production procedures are up to date and reviewed on a regular basis. ·Responsible for managing improvements within the build process. ·Conducting internal audits in Housekeeping, 5S, ESD Control and Calibration. ·Co-ordinating Kaizan and continuous improvement within the production facility. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years supervisory experience within a modern multi product manufacturing environment, ideally telecommunications/electrical background and will also satisfy the following requirements:·Strong People Manager with experience of managing a minimum of 25 staff. ·Good understanding of Employee laws. ·Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, Line Balancing, Process Flow, Process Control, Kaizen, Kanban. ·Experience of computerised planning and scheduling techniques associated with modern manufacturing (Excel, MRP etc) ·Provide trouble shooting and problem solving support within a manufacturing environment ·Understanding of Quality Systems and product quality importance
