Description: An opportunity for a talented Production Improvement Manager to lead teams in a leading printing company in Hertfordshire.Within the remit of Operational Excellence you will primarily be responsible for pursuing all routes to a World Class facility.You will take a "rolled up sleeves" approach to working with the production teams, leading, inspiring and providing the teams with the tools, techniques and support to drive the performance of their production area.You will set up and review closed loop systems to record the commitments promised from the teams, ensure these are carried out, the results measured and where necessary hold people accountable to the changes they promised to carry out.In doing this you will embrace a Lean approach and apply the tools and techniques to develop the culture - TPM, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, OEE sharing the learning's from practical projects within the plant and best practices across the shifts.You will have:A proven track record of implementing change within a production/manufacturing Blue-chip Experience of leading production in a continuous batch processing environment, either 24/5 or 24/7 Experience in managing teams, leading by example and inspiring people to take responsibility for themselves and follow your approach In depth exposure in overcoming the cultural challenges faced in deploying Lean methodologies An inquisitive "can we do this better mindset" Not be afraid to be working with production teams from day 1 - not taking a "consultant" approach but working at the "coalface" of the operation A Degree qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline, with a strong mechanical bias and a solid knowledge of continuous improvement/Lean methodologies and their applications.
