Description: This is an exciting role in an established and extremely successful retail group in the Middle East. The company has been trading for over twenty years and now has over 1,300 stores across twelve countries. It employs a significant number of UK nationals, and has employees from 37 countries and is set to continue and accelerate as they move forward with their portfolio of top UK and European retail brands. We are looking for an exceptional Business Director whose pedigree as a top retailer and expertise in big box retail across the UK, and possibly the International market, is without question. Proven experience, at a Senior level, with blue chip brands and in mainstream fast paced retail will have made you an expert achiever. You will have distinct presence and gravitas. You may have developed your experience in office, DIY or other large format retail businesses. Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment would be an advantage.Based at our clients Head Office the retained candidate will be given the mandate to successfully develop a rapidly expanding business plan, consisting of developing from scratch a large network of “Big Box” Office Supply Mega-Stores throughout the Middle East region. The role would suit a start up focused skill set with a ‘hands on” approach with a strategic mind set.The role calls for significant business & brand strategy development & planning expertise including the development and maintenance of relationships with the host brand. Therefore you will be a commercially astute and profit driven individual, an influential, proactive and strong leader with a proven track record of delivering success through teamwork.
