Description: Due to the retirement of a long germ member of staff, this small housebuilder is actively looking for an experienced buyer to join them in the offices on the outskirts of Newport.You will be responsible for negotiations with suppliers and customers in the purchase of materials and plant working within a busy commercial team. Liaising this information within the team to planners, surveyors in order to meet project specifications. As part of the team you will issue enquiries, obtain quotations and then select suppliers within tight deadlines. As required you will be prepared to investigate alternatives and be part of the value-engineering processes. Essentially computer literate with excel and word and with a knowledge of relevant software packages.
