Description: To ensure our customer service targets are met. To work with the engineering department to ensure that the fleet is run in an efficient manner and to laid down targets at all times. Reporting to the Central Traffic Manager within a team of 15 controllers. May in time cover for the Central Traffic Manager. Scope of Job: Load-building/Allocation 40% Driver Liaision 40% Depot Liaison 15% Reporting 5%. Experience required: Suitable allocation or planning/coordination experience. Preferably within a transport or logistics environment.Supervision of a team. Tasks: Load-building and allocation for the fleet to ensure despatch to dealer is achieved within contractual lead-times.Ensure that all vehicles are despatched and delivery accepted within lead-time and that all appropriate paperwork is produced in timely manner. Ensure targeted fleet efficiencies are achieved. Ensure any other reasonable task is completed to a high standard within the timescale given. Ensure that all drivers are communicated at lease twice daily and are aware of their allocated work pattern at all times. Ensure that you are aware of all drivers up to date WTD/Drivers Hours to ensure full fleet utilisation. Be the main day to day contact for customers in terms of updates of vehicle dispatching and lead-time. Ensure that relationships with customers are fostered and maintained to ensure a good working relationship. Ensure all depots are aware of Transporter arrivals and loads are pulled in a timely manner. Ensure all ferrying operations are completed in line with customer and site requirements. To ensure all operational reports are statistics are completed within given timescales.
