Description: My client, an International banking company is looking for a Graduate with 1+ years experience in Unix Administration. The ideal candidate should have: In depth experience in Unix, HP-UX and AIX A good amount of knowledge of TCP/IP networks and protocols (ssh, snmp, Idap, ftp, etc) Working experience in Linux (Redhat) would be of advantage. Exposure to Clustering and RDBMS (Oracle, Sybase, etc) would also be of use. Good working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols (ssh, snmp, Idap, ftp etc) An understanding of Security and System Hardening would be beneficial. Key Responsibilities: Providing 2nd level support in a customer orientated team, reporting in a structured manner. Provide support on a rota of 24/7 operation. Daily administration, support, test and development of Unix environments. (including user access on these systems.) Assist periodic security reviews on selected production servers. Complete periodic user access reviews on all production servers. Assist with patching of servers, for security and maintenance purposes. Configuration of third-party tools and software being used as part of the unit technology solution. Provide support via email and our incident management system.
