Description: A Senior Database Administrator is sought by our high-tech Cambridge Client to manage their growing global database infrastructure. Qualifications Sought:BSc in Computer Science, IT or similar technical subject with a focus on the administration of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases. Certifications such as MCDBA or OCP are beneficial.Experience Sought:Extensive experience in MS SQL Server 2000/2005, My SQL 4 and 5 and Oracle 9i and 10g environments.In depth knowledge in database recovery and replication models.In depth knowledge of administering and maintaining production database environments.Experience with PHP, C#, ASP.NET and/or .NET Framework.Experience in scripting with either Perl, Shell or TCL.The successful candidate will mentor other database administrators, create database instances and schemas, perform tuning techniques, run object creation scripts provided by developers on production server as well as improve current RDBMS backup and recovery strategy.
