Description: What is the Role? The successful candidate will be required to undertake infrastructure works design including site remediation, highways, drainage and sewerage design, and preparation of specification and contract documentation as part of our Development Infrastructure capability provided from our city centre Manchester office. Our development infrastructure clients comprise public and private sector clients involved in multi-disciplinary regeneration projects, major development schemes, airport infrastructure and local council frameworks. All three of our city centre offices in Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester work closely together to deliver a comprehensive range of integrated consultancy services to the development and airports sectors. Recent projects in Northern England include the Liverpool Science Park infrastructure project, key regeneration schemes in Manchester and major airport infrastructure improvements at Manchester, Liverpool John Lennon, Durham Tees Valley and Robin Hood Doncaster airports. Who are the likely candidates? Some post-graduation relevant experience Design of development infrastructure ideally including highways and drainage in the UK Degree in Civil Engineering Ideally some knowledge of highway design modelling software (e.g PDS, MX (MOSS) and urban drainage software (e.g WINDES) Knowledge of Design Manual For Roads and Bridges, Sewers for Adoption and other relevant standards/ Codes Of Practice Experience/ability to use AutoCAD Good office skills especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint Our Methodology We are specialist providers of permanent staff for the highways and infrastructure market; we have over 7 years experience of delivering professionals for major projects, renewals and maintenance.
