Description: ENVIRONMENT & STREET SCENEThe London Borough of Enfield Fleet Services Team are responsible for the provision of a well maintained diverse range of vehicles and equipment to internal customers. We currently have a vacancy for anSENIOR LGV FITTER £23,097 basic plus overtime & market supplement (£1200 pa)Based at Advent Way depot, Edmonton, with an imminent move to Carterhatch Depot, Enfield.We are seeking to employ a Senior LGV fitter with experience of heavy goods and municipal vehicles to join our team, to assist in carrying out internal fleet repair and servicing on a wide variety of municipal equipment, adhering to the conditions of the Council's operators licence. You should be qualified to at least City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Technician 1,2 & 3 or equivalent, with substantial experience of working on vehicles ranging from cars and small vans to Large Goods Vehicles, including municipal vehicles.A current LGV driving licence, class C is essential for the LGV fitter as well as good communication and interpersonal skills are required for effective team working, and dealing with maintenance Contractors and manufacturers on technical matters and repair decision.
