Description: North East based our client is a market leader in high speed manufacturing. Due to ventures in to new markets and a huge rise in demand they are looking to recruit an experienced Production supervisor to work in a high quality, high volume manufacturing environment.The role:·Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained, enforced and adhered to.·Ensuring Key Performance Indicators are achieved and customer service targets are met.·Appraise staff, monitor and develop skill levels and recommend/organize training where appropriate and records are maintained.·Supervision and utilization of staff within production departments.·Prioritizing workload and delegating to relevant personnel.·Managing and motivating employees.·Responsible for ensuring that operating procedures and tasks are being carried out in accordance with relevant procedures and Quality documentation.·Ensure the workplace is operating in a safe, fair, effective and constructive manner.·To supervise in a fair, effective and constructive manner.·Monitor and maintain shift discipline in line with Company policies.·Monitor and record machine outputs, scrap levels and efficiencies, suggesting, facilitating and driving improvement.Job Specification:Experience in leading a team in a technical or high volume manufacturing environment.Must have a Management qualification and/or have received extensive trainingEngineering background and/or engineering qualifications are an advantage.Experience of implementing improvement activities and using modern manufacturing tools and techniques.Must be enthusiastic, flexible, determined and proactive.Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with people at all levels within and outside of the organization.Good people management skills to effectively lead and develop the team.Good PC skills, especially Excel, Word & SPCAbility to effectively manage their own time and tasks and those of their employees.Proactive and flexible with the ability to use their own initiative and make decisions.Have a good eye for detail.Be able to multi task in a busy environment and meet tight deadlines.Be determined and consistent in enforcing the rules and procedures within the Company.
