There is now an opportunity for a high calibre Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Head Office based in London within the Central Finance Group. This Key role Reports directly into the Group Reporting Manager and has responsibilities such as:Analysis of monthly results for Corporate Division and preparation of Corporate Division analysis report. Preparation of monthly Corporate Division report and management of the Corporate Division issues and reporting process, communicating with Johannesburg, Luxembourg and Australian Corporate offices and relevant departments in LondonReview of Coromin Bermuda Insurance accounts and liaison with Coromin for financial reporting purposesLiaison with Divisions to continually improve processes and discuss issues. Production of issues reportPreparation of quarterly Group consolidation Preparation of Annual Report and interim releaseInput to Audit Committee ReportsWorking with Group Technical Manager on technical accounting issues and impact of new financial reporting standardsImprovement of Group consolidation processesLiaison with external auditors to ensure smooth and efficient running of audit Focus on proper treatment of high value Group items such as acquisitions and other transactions, impairments and reorganisationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have gained a solid understanding of Group Consolidations and interim and year-end reporting as well as complex commercial and technical accounting issues. Specifically this would include UK or US GAAP.The individual we are looking for will be a graduate with a strong academic background, an ACA qualification and training within a well recognised and reputable Accounting Practice.
