Description: Materials Test Engineer (with knowledge of bearings / mechanical shaft seals) required in the Slough area. Our Client is a world leader in the development and manufacture of marine products to Defence and Industrial / Commercial Marine organisations and offers a competitive salary and benefits which include 25 days holiday per annum, Pension Scheme and Private Medical Insurance. Your role will involve: - Providing Technical information in the form of test specifications - Carry out Technical investigations, Conduct Development activities and analysis reports - Work within R&D to manage work flow, provide solutions to projects and programmes - Interpret project or technical specifications & test specifications to implement practical evaluations using test equipment as required to meet objectives - Use monitoring, inspecting and data processing facilities available to record and document for future ref results of trials and analysis work conducted - Produce and support technical presentations for management , customers and promotions as required - Advise and Supervise on the sourcing and purchase of equipment and parts to support the product development testing facility - Develop, perform and document test assessments - Full Job Description is available upon request You will ideally be someone who has the following: - HNC qualification in a relevant Engineering subject - At least 3 years in test engineering - IT capabilities (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access) - Practical hands on experience ,including test and problem solving - Understanding of engineering principles, materials & systems - Experience of Technical report generation & submission / control We are an established Engineering Employment Business and Agency with over 20 years experience, providing recruitment services to our candidates and clients.
