Description: Market Research AnalystMain responsibilitiesFollow up on recent changes and future development in telecommunication environment specifically with reference to economical, technological, institutional and social issue.Prepare a Master Plan, business plans and annual work plans.Prepare Annual Report with Coordination with Communication & Image department.Compile information for controlling the business plan and performance thereof and analyze the causes not achieving the plan targets.Contribute with local institutions and government organizations in different research studies in telecom/ economic issues.Coordinate with international institutions like ITU in different studies & questionnaires and provide them with required data.Carry out research on demand of news services, their competitiveness, economic aspects and consumer interests.Analyses the financial reports of telecom operators and submit recommendations to the members.Provide inputs to the ITU Study Groups for different questions & participate in the research of the questions assigned to the department.Develop business reports and monitor their progress.Supervise the preparation of monthly progress reports for each department.Analyze the data received from the operators and provide support for all decisions.Supervise the preparation of quarterly statistical report about the telecommunication industry.Requirements: The Selected candidate will have in-depth knowledge about the telecommunication industry, both regionally and internationally. This position requires extensive knowledge in all the above-mentioned areas and the applicant must have substantial relevant experience in a regulatory environment with Batchelors/Masters in Economics or equivalent.
