Job No: J1002a Job Title: HR Advisor – 4 month ContractSalary: To £35,000 p.a.Location: SwindonA leading Swindon based employer has an opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to cover a 4 month secondment in a role within a value driven, ethical working environment. The ideal candidate will preferably be able to start immediately.This large organisation operates in a high profile sector and will be seeking to attract talented, bright and pragmatic individuals with well developed influencing and team working skills. The role demands initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility along with the ability to cooperate successfully with various areas of the organisation to ensure the HR strategy meets the needs of the business.The HR Advisor’s role will have a variety of responsibilities from day to day HR advice on Employee Relations to specific HR project work, coaching managers in best practice including performance and absence management and implementing new policies to meet legislative requirements.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEKnowledgeMCIPD qualified, graduate level; up to date working knowledge of HR especially employment law; customer service ethos, experience in building and maintaining client relationshipsSkillsConfident interpersonal skills; effective communication skills; presentation skills – written and verbal; able to “think on feet” and record/assimilate/action large and complex amounts of information; IT skills especially Word processing; able to prioritise and highly organised; able to build and maintain effective working relationships; self motivated and tenaciousExperienceDemonstrable experience of providing a “hands-on” personnel service to a client base with a commitment to continuing professional development Experience with HR caseload especially recruitment and selection/discipline and grievance and performance management/OD/bullying
