Description: A European Service Planner is required within our clients manufacturing organization based in Herts. Main responsibilities of the European Service Planner are as follows:- - Responsible for providing a focal point for Down instrument orders relating to the shipment and delivery of spare parts /consumables to engineers and customers throughout the European Service Business. - Communication with factories, engineers and European Commercial Offices will be vital - Understands and resolves difficulties relating to the provision of spare pares and tools to engineers. - Make recommendations for process changes that promote efficiency Down instrument order fulfilment and reduce instrument down times. - Responsible for setting stocking levels to support service inventory goals and on time shipment objectives - Maintain or modify existing planning policies and ensure that these are used consistently across all product lines. - Lead and/or participate on PPI teams as assigned. - Manage new product release activities related to inventory and procurement. - Manage product retirement activities related to inventory and procurement. - Recommend inventory reduction programs in the effort to reduce excess Service inventory. - Manages the work flow from Engineer/Customer back order to order fulfilment in a timely matter.
