This is a great opportunity to break in to an international blue chip and be a key part in the development of the brand.The Lead Creative Designer is responsible for the general standard of creative design that emanates from the studio. They will help provide the team with creative direction and consistency of style with in set brand guidelines, whilst overseeing the on-the-job training and development of team members. As one of the most experienced and skilled member of the team they will be a creative thinker and have well-developed design skills, which will be used to designing for print, web and multimedia. They will be able to handle tasks delegated to them by their Manager or Project Manager with minimal hand-over and can work well under pressure in a corporate environment. Candidate RequirementsProven experience within the creative design industry with experience in managing relationships with clients and virtual teamsEducated to degree standard (or equivalent) in an aligned vocational subject, i.e. communication design, graphic design, with creative portfolioAbility to develop team members and support staff with creative and technical expertiseAbility to discuss creative portfolio that demonstrates a capacity to solve problems conceptually. Should also be able to talk through work confidentlyExcellent working-knowledge of Windows computer and software, principally InDesign / Quark XPress, Freehand / Illustrator and PhotoshopExcellent working knowledge of production cycle and print technology. Understanding of print and imaging processes and knowledge of their limitationsExcellent working-knowledge of digital artwork processes, their limitations and needs within the design processExtremely client-focused, with a positive attitude as well as excellent ‘people skills’. Able to negotiate effectively and communicate on all levels
