Description: Our client is a global leader in Marine Technology solution for the offshore industry. The company is renowned for its acoustic technology development capabilities and also with underwater positioning and communication systems. The company now require a Senior Systems Engineer. The position will be based in Aberdeen and is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly-expanding organisation. The company is offering:*Excellent base salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum*25 days hols, pension, life assurance and up to 10% annual bonus (performance related)*37.5 hours: 8.30am - 5pm, Mon - FriDuties:*Participate with the Engineering Director and Engineering Manager to develop plans and processes for the Acoustic Centre of Excellence vision relating to product development, integration and support.*Leadership to their team of 5 people within the department providing mentoring, guidance and training on a diverse range of Subsea/Acoustics hardware and firmware related development projects and products.*The role will be 30% supervisory and 70% hands-on.*Co-ordinate a multiple number of projects ranging from 6 to 18 months and with budgets ranging from £500K to £2 million.*Provide technical assistance to other departments in the companyDesirable skills/knowledge:*Proven experience with Schematics, Protel, Hardware designs, BOMs, Prototyping, C, C++ programming, x86, DSP, embedded analysis, simulations and familiarity with software systems using different operating systems on various platforms (eg Linux, Windows, NT etc) If you wish to apply for this position then please respond in the first instance by sending your CV and any other relevant information to: david.schofield@recruitmentzone.co.uk or alternatively call David Schofield on 01204 674 084.Recruitment Zone acting as an employment agency in regard to this advert.
