Description: AFTERMARKET MANAGER(Industrial Diesel Engines)Flexible locationc. £50,000 plus car/allowance,bonus and benefits packageOur client is the world’s leading supplier of large-bore diesel engines for marine and power plant applications employing over 6,000 staff.The UK business provides a comprehensive global after sales service including installation, commissioning, relocation and training support along with the provision of OEM spare parts.This new, high profile role will have general management responsibility for establishing and growing a profitable reconditioned/second hand spare parts business within the company’s worldwide operation.Working as part of an established business unit, the appointee will be responsible for building a network with key users of diesel engines, principally within the marine sector, and for agreeing contracts to recover, recondition and supply aftermarket spares. Candidates, ideally with an early technical background, will have proven commercial aftermarket experience gained in a relevant product environment.Entrepreneurial drive is particularly important for this role and candidates must be able to demonstrate broad business knowledge and a good understanding of the industrial diesel engine market.This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the ongoing success of this well established business and a competitive package will be negotiated for the right high calibre candidate.
