Financial Controller - ProjectsOur client, a large design and manufacturing company based in Birmingham are currently looking to recruit a Projects Financial Controller to strengthen their existing team.As the Projects Financial Controller in this role the successful applicant will ensure that projects are financially under control, commercially compliant and are accurately controlled to project forecast. This includes ensuring all steps detailed on the project commercial checklist are completed and covers all projects in the business from a commercial compliance perspective.Reporting directly to the Managing Director the key responsibilities of this role will include"Compliance to project commercial procedures"Tracking of project and business Risk Register compliance"All project invoicing is up to date and controlled"Project budgets are maintained and up to date"Project change control system is tracked and up to date"Contract cost control meetings are undertaken and reports are ready"Development of project management compliance"Project documentation is structured and maintained to procedure"Actively support management initiativesMain Duties:"Reviewing project hours with the Project Managers, tracking an overview of budget compliance"Supporting senior management review meetings"Reviewing and tracking project materials cost to budget"Change controls are tracked and invoiced and fully controlled"Project hours analysis by product and project, committed capacity etc"Preparation reviews and support of contact cost review meetings"Statistical analysis of product costs and KPIs"Ensuring project site work is tracked, authorised, controlled and invoiced"PO coverage received, or e.g. work is on hold until resolved "Compliance to key procedures of the projects team"Projects Financial Controller is expected to play a key role in achievement and maintenance of the ISO 9001:2000 and Group procedural compliance for the Company"Tracking and reviewing of project check lists and red flag reports "Product cost analysis and reporting to develop accurate sales costing"Other duties as specified by managementApplications for this senior position are welcomed from competent individuals who have previous project financial control experience, and who are numerate, literate, who posses excellent communication skills, and ideally have a good understanding of ERP systems.In return, the successful applicant will be rewarded with a package including a starting salary of £28,000 to £32,000 per annum dependant on experience, 23 days holiday entitlement, pension, laptop and mobile phone.To apply for this exciting new opportunity, please email a current CV to jim.forman@sjrecruitment.co.uk quoting reference J003657All applications are treated in the strictest of confidence.The position is based at our clients Birmingham office, but as projects can be worldwide, it may involve some travel both in the UK and overseas where required.
