Description: Electrical Test Team Leader Portsmouth, Hampshire, South EastSalary depending on experience - excellent benefits packageWe are a recruitment agency and we are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Test Team Leader for our Portsmouth based client.The Electrical Test Team LeaderTo be responsible for an RF Test Team of up to 8 staff including subcontractors, supported by the Test Manager. Support the Test Manager on RF Test aspects of a project with respect to preparation and operationsTo ensure the operational team are focused on the correct priorities and are working to clearly identified deadlines for tasksPlay a major role in operational process improvementAchieve Schedule and cost during project operational phasesThe successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:Support Project Lead Engineer with RF Test documentation to ensure standardisation, aid with project preparation activitiesAssist with validation of Project work packages / critically analyse scheduleRF Test Execution and results delivery, hands on testing (as required)Daily personnel management ( right skill, right person, right place, right time ), Timekeeping, Ensuring team complete Timesheets, Tool / Test AID control, Behaviour, Team MoraleChair Daily Meetings during Communications Module test phaseDaily planning and completion, control and coordination of test documentation ensuring applicability and closureProcess improvement implementation (3C Panels, Shop floor data capture, innovation) providing an active role in lessons learned to improve processes and identify problems encountered to the Test managerImplement and maintain 5S within the working areaShift information management (daily logs, operations log etc.)Ensure project schedule, cost and quality adherenceManagement reporting, and front line interface with the AIT Project Team serving as a Technical reference for the Project in the Cleanroom for AIT RF testing AspectsReviews skills requirements with the Test manager in line with operational needsReports daily resource variance against the expected work package requirements to the Test ManagerAllocates tasks to team and ensures that the shifts are adequately loaded with materials and documentationScoping out the initial problems (on line) and identifying resolutionChange Request inputHealth & Safety Governance for Cell including product liabilityInput to project production GO meeting preparationPerforms Operations team TrainingIntegration team leader and planner / Scheduler liaison Task / facility readiness management (FWD looking)Production SupervisorThe successful candidate will require the following skills:RF Test & LeadershipRequired Qualification level Minimum of HNC level in Electrical / Electronic discipline, RF & Communications preferable or equivalent Proven experience in RF Test environmentUnderstands all advanced functions and is competent in the use of:Spectrum analyser sNetwork analyser sFrequency countersPower metersFrequency synthesizers (In manual and automatic modes of operation)Proven supervisory experienceWorking environment/industry Aerospace, Communications, RADAR, Antenna s, EMC, ATEQuality environment, Cost Management, People Management and leadership, Procedures and process experience, Problem solving, strong RF test measurement experience, Utilisation of automated test systemsHealth & Safety If this role isn't for you please visit our website colbernlimited co uk for more opportunities or send us a copy of your CV with details of the role you are looking for.Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
