Description: Payroll Administrator required to join friendly, motivated team in large organisation to ensure that staff are paid accurately and on time. You will need to be organised, flexible, enthusiastic and have the ability to work under pressure in order to succeed in this role.Key duties and responsibilities will include: * Checking payroll hours to ensure employee's hours are accurate based on their contract.* Maintaining and updating accurate data on the computerised payroll system to ensure new employees are paid on time and that any contractual changes are implemented.* Updating employee's sickness records. * Generating all payments, such as, Statutory Sick and Maternity/Paternity payments for employees if entitled.* Updating employee tax records.* Providing advice and support to our store teams and regional managers on all aspects of payroll on a daily basis.* Liaising with external bodies, such as, the Inland Revenue, DWP, banks and building societies and completing the appropriate correspondence in relation to these.Furthermore, you will need to have a sensitive and confidential manner and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, full training will be provided for the in-house system. The successful candidate will have had significant experience working in a similar environment and preferably be from a Payroll background.
