Description: An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced transport and distribution professional to manage a distribution function at a regional logistics centre in Newbury. This is a challenging and high profile role that will require the individual to focus on the continuous improvement of operational efficiency. A strong track record of successful team building will also be required. The key responsibilities will include - responsibility for up 100 fleet vechicles - managing and coaching a fleet team - management and cost control of budgets in excess of 10m - delivering multiple customer service KPIs - management and control of budgets - managing contractual relationships - compliance with transport legislation - adherance to H&S legislation - a certificate of professional competence will be required - overall responsibility for planning and scheduling The successful candidate will be joining a blue chip logistics company that prides itself in providing excellent renumeration and on going career development opportunities.
