Description: Urgent - Software Engineer / Software Process Assurance / Software Quality Engineer - Prestigious Aerospace client urgently requires a Software Process Assurance Engineer to work on the modification of existing software. The person appointed will: - guarantee that international regulation on critical software is correctly applied by the sub contractors, - help the software engineer to understand the problems which arise during the development and to define and scale the corrective actions, - be the interface between the customer and the certification authorities for the software. Profile: - good (Honours) degree in an engineering discipline, CEng status or equivalent is a plus, - a proven experience in Software (5 to 10 years), - experience in the development of software for critical applications in industries such as aeronautic, space, defence…, - knowledge of all software development phases, - experience and knowledge of the DO 178B process would be an advantage (Not essential), - excellent written communication and presentation skills, - be able to think analytically and explain complex issue in simple terms, - able to work Independently or in small teams to tight deadlines, - excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). This is an urgent requirement therefore call ASAP or forward a CV - full spec available - 6 month contract on offer with an excellent chance of extending a further 6 months.
