Description: We are recruiting for a Service Desk Engineer who has experience of working with Security products to join a team delivering customer telephone support and managed service functions.We are able to base this role out of our Northern Technical Centre in Gateshead, or our Southern Technical Centre in Reading so will consider candidates in both locations.The role will involve taking and resolving telephone support calls.Advising on and making changes to our customer’s managed service infrastructure and hardware builds.Applying clearly defined resolutions to incidents.Escalating incidents within the management team when required.Delivering high standards of support, and transferring knowledge and skills amongst peers.We are looking for candidates who have a thorough understanding of TCP/IP Networking, with Checkpoint CCSE and CCSE (NGX).Candidates must have previous experience of supporting Check Point in a multi customer environment.We are also looking for candidates with experience in any or all of the following products:Juniper, Bluecoat, ClearSwift, Websense, Finjan, SonicWALL, Actividentify, and RSA.This experience would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided in these areas if required.Essential is outstanding verbal and written communication, an understanding of ITIL processes and working to SLA requirements.Experience with Provider-1, SecurePlatform and Cisco would also be advantageous.In return, we are offering a competitive basic salary that is accompanied by a bonus and an extensive benefits package that includes, pension, health insurance, gym membership, dental insurance, childcare vouchers, optical insurance, travel insurance, employee discount scheme, the option to increase / decrease the standard 25 days holiday by up to 5 days and an employee share scheme to name but a few!To be considered for this exciting opportunity, please submit your CV with a covering letter detailing your salary expectation and notice period.
