Quality Manager, to lead a small team who are responsible for designing and implementing quality improvement tools, techniques and programmes within our manufacturing facility. Candidates will be required to demonstrate their practical achievements in implementing or developing lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, Six Sigma and 5Ss, within an ISO9001:2000 environment, preferably AS/En 9100. Duties include: Optimising our operational efficiencies and performances to achieve our world-class goals Management and development of the Quality Management System in line with customer and business requirements and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and specifications Resolution of internal and external quality issues in conjunction with appropriate personnel Agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff application Responsibility for the day-to-day activity and training of the Quality Engineers Generating QA reports to show progress against Key Performance Indicators Writing technical and management system reports Provide quality training across all departments Thorough knowledge of electronics and manufacturing processes and must be able to demonstrate statistical process control using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Candidates will be a professionally trained Auditor with supervisory experience, with an understanding of modern quality tools and techniques with experience of 8D and Route Cause analysis tools and ideally have a proven track record of continuous improvement.
