Description: Our client is one of the largest, most diverse providers of social services in the UK after the Government. Founded in East London in 1865, we are now working in 115 countries worldwide. They are a church and registered charity. They are currently looking to recruit a Research and Development Manager to take charge of a portfolio of existing new developments in the geographic area of Wales, the North West and the M4 corridor. The main responsibilities include:Developing specific social, corps and community projects as directed by the Deputy Director of the Research and Development UnitIndentifying and where appropriate applying for statutory and non statutory funding for specific projectsProviding a consultative resource for staff on best practice regarding corps, community and social workAdvising and assisting in the production of mission development plans, service specifications, business plans, budgets etc. including advising on evangelism and social work strategiesAdvising all relevant boards and councils on the progress of all new developmentsThe successful candidate will be a practising Christian, able to advise on and evaluate corps activities and comfortable leading prayer as appropriate with a degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline such as Social Policy, Social or Community work etc. You will have experience of researching relevant information and experience of social or community work. You will be an experienced and efficient Project Manager with the passion and enthusiasm for developing strategies, programmes and facilities to contribute to the mission of the organisation.This role will involve extensive travel and therefore includes the benefit of a fleet car.
